You should always make a memorable first encounter. Put your best foot forward.

To be the best, you can be you must constantly improve yourself. You must set standards. You must decide who you want to become. Do you want to be wealthy, physically fit, charismatic, intelligent, a successful entrepreneur, and well-dressed or all the above or a combination? These are the things that you must decide and you must implement a plan of action. This will not be an overnight process. It will take time. Had I realized this earlier in life I would be further along; however, in my case I was raised in a neighborhood that most people would call rough, but I always wanted more, which caused me to pay attention to individuals who I admired. While observing these individuals I realized that everyone was not put together in all areas. Some individuals may be physically fit, but their style was wacked, or someone could have great style, but was all show and no substance. So, what I did was try to take the best features of individuals who I thought stood out in a particular area, such as if I see an individual who is a male fitness model who may be the same height and body composition as myself. I will try to find out what their diet is, the workout routine and what was there “why” when they started working out. Growing up I use to watch people who were put together on how they walked, talked, their disposition, the way they dressed, their character and their self-image. I know it is difficult to be strong in every area, however, you should be striving every day to be the best you can be. With that said, here are a few things that I do each to develop myself to be the best I can be, but remember this is a lifelong process.

The key to developing yourself to be the total man is discipline, establishing good habits, surround yourself with high achievers and read a lot. When I say read I mean self-improvement books for personal and professional growth. Me personally I wake up at 3:30am every weekday and 6:30am on weekends and the first thing that I do is say my prayers giving gratitude for my family, my businesses, my health and the life that I live. Next I read four pages of affirmations to prime my mindset and self-image of who I am, who I aspire to be. I speak it as though this is who I already am and how I live in abundance. Next, whatever today’s date is I read that date’s chapter in Proverbs. For Instance, if today is the 14th then I read Chapter 14 of Proverbs. Once I do this, I floss, brush my teeth wash my face and shave, put my gym gear on, feed the dog, take my vitamins and supplements, kiss my wife good bye and head out the door by 5:00am to the gym. On the way to the gym I listen to one of my audible books. Once at the gym I work out hard for roughly 1 hour and 15 minutes than I shower and get dressed. Next I jump in the car and listen to my audio book headed to the office, as well as talk to business associates about the upcoming day. Once at the office at 8:00am, I write down my key task to be accomplished for the day. Next I get something to eat and drink a protein shake. The rest of the day I focus on my daily task list until they are completed. I check the task off as I complete them. If all the tasks aren’t completed I moved them to the next day. I normally, leave the office by 5:30pm and jump in the car and continue to listen to my audio book and make some calls to business associates or family. Once I am home, I kiss my wife and we discuss our day, then I get my clothes ready for the next day, eat, and if pressing work has to be done than I pull out the laptop and work on that or I watch YouTube on my television of self-improvement vlogs or fashion shows than I go drink a protein shake, floss, brush my teeth and wash my face and go to bed, kiss my wife good night and then I may go to sleep or do what we do (smile). This is a normal day for me. I know it looks boring, but each day you must be consistent for the better and eventually you will grow in leaps and bound.

Key Points:

• Start identifying who is the person that you want to become and why?
• What daily steps must you take to accomplish your goals and objectives?
• Set up life standards for how you want to live, the car you drive, your residence, how much money you need and how you make money, your health, your partner, your family, your wardrobe, etc. Also, you must determine what you will accept or not accept or not accept from people, places and things.
• Find a mentor or mentors who can guide you on your journey.
• Improve upon your circle of friends and your surroundings.
• Continue to constantly improve upon your education particularly informal education, such as reading books and listening to audible books, as well as going to seminars.

These are just a few things that you can do to develop yourself to be the best you can be. So, keep your head up and go get it!
